Recently I received from a friend the link to a blog containing a word of caution to bloggers and writers. It seemed the writer of this particular post – an author of many novels – had been contacted by the copyright owner of a picture she used on her site. The writer wasn’t aware at the time that the picture wasn’t public domain and agreed to take it down. One would think that should have solved the problem, but the copyright holder expected compensation for its use. A simple post meant to keep with the theme of her stories ended up costing this book author a bit of money.
Same thing applies with social media. Visit FACEBOOK, TWITTER, curtidas gratis, PINTEREST, etc. What do you find? What it’s like? Do you see possibilities for communication for your client that you can’t achieve in traditional ways? Where’s the potential? Where are the pitfalls?
We all know that there is a never-ending stream of marketing activities to help you build your list. Things like article marketing blogging forums public speaking social instagram followers media paid advertising and many more.
I want to bring your attention to an often overlooked problem and that is understanding phony friends and followers. Phony friends are everywhere not just on Facebook or Instagram. You know, those women who act like they care and get the latest and greatest juice on a fellow female and then they’re off – sharing the details and comments exchanged and hopefully not twisting them all around to hide their own input to your conversation. You grow more anxious and wonder why you continue to get caught up in these types of moments because they definitely do not serve you and kind of go against your morals and values!
Social Media – Social media has the capabilities of expanding your viral marketing to new heights. Try to regularly participate in at least the top three social sites which are Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. A newcomer that is rising in popularity very fast is Pinterest so I would recommend starting with that one as well. When used effectively, these social media sites allow you to spread your virus in ways that were not before possible.
Regularly Re-tweet contents. The contents proliferating from more than one source gives a great meaning to the idea of social networking. Such social sharing will broaden the horizon of contents you would like to share and at the same time it will allow the sharing metrics to grow exponentially via ‘likes’. Also, such likes will be well- meant.
